Patrick McGrann

Field Placement: Peruvian Center for Social Study (CEPES), Lima, Peru

Patrick McGrann worked with the local partners of CEPES to improve access to productive assets for rural development. Specifically, he examined the negative impacts the extractive industry has had in Peru, especially its effects on local agricultural and water assets.

Policy Placement: Popular Coalition to Eradicate Hunger and Poverty, Rome, Italy

Patrick assisted the Popular Coalition’s Agrarian Reform Network with its efforts to shape public policy regarding rural development in the Andean Region.

Pre-Fellowship Education/Experience:

Patrick was a financial consultant for Allanza Para un Mundo Sostible in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and was a founding partner of the Caninde Fund, an environmental protection group in Buena Vista, Bolivia. He studied Tibetan resettlement issues while living in Kathmandu, Nepal and is fluent in Spanish. Patrick holds a Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
