Isabella is a first-generation American from Hartford, Connecticut. She recently graduated summa cum laude from Trinity College in May 2022, double-majoring with honors in Political Science and Human Rights Studies. During undergrad, Isabella interned and participated in various organizations and programs in the field of public interest including the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Connecticut General Assembly, and the Public Policy and International Affairs Program. Her personal and professional experiences have culminated into a passion for advocacy, especially for marginalized communities like her own.

Field placement: Maryland Hunger Solutions

Baltimore, Maryland

Isabella is working at Maryland Hunger Solutions in Baltimore, Maryland. She is providing SNAP application assistance to Marylanders and is serving on the state's Food Systems Resiliency Council to deliver recommendations on improving Maryland's food storage and distribution networks to the legislature.

Policy placement: Feeding America

Washington, D.C.

Isabella's policy placement is with Feeding America, where she is supporting SNAP advocacy through a multi-state grant. The project invests in 28 states' efforts to protect and strengthen state SNAP policies that increase access to SNAP benefits for individuals facing hunger. In her work, Isabella is collaborating with the policy team to provide technical assistance to grantees and up-to-date data that will improve network members' state-level advocacy.
