Chloe Green

Senior Policy Associate, Food and Nutrition Services, American Public Human Services Association (APHSA)

Chloe Green (she/her) is the Senior Policy Associate, Food and Nutrition Services at APHSA and leads their federal nutrition policy portfolio, primarily focusing on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Chloe serves as the APHSA staff liaison to the American Association of SNAP Directors (AASD) and National Association for Program Information and Performance Measurement (NAPIPM) affinity groups, as well as several work groups including SNAP Ed & Outreach. Chloe also leads APHSA’s new work to uplift the role of human services agencies in advancing climate and environmental justice, and plays an integral role on APHSA’s race equity team.

Chloe first came to APHSA through her policy placement as a 26th Class Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow. Her field placement was at the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, and prior to her fellowship she worked at the Kaufman Lab for the Study of Food Systems and Marketplaces at the University of Wisconsin, Community Services Unlimited, Inc., and SoLA Food Co-op. Chloe is currently a Bloomberg Fellow in the Food Systems for Health track at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Chloe is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds degrees in dietetics and community & environmental sociology.
