After a year with AmeriCorps in Chicago, Alison received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Brown University.

Alison conducted a statewide survey of Food Stamp participation in emergency food agencies. She then created a Food Stamp Toolkit, designed to make the Food Stamp System more accessible to emergency food recipients.

Alison assisted PRRAC in its efforts to link research and advocacy, and concentrated on issues at the intersections of education, race and poverty, including school mobility, community schools and hunger.
