Volunteers of America (VOA) is a faith-based organization that works to help those in need to live healthy, safe and productive lives. VOA's programs include children and youth, community enhancement, correctional services, disability services, emergency services, employment and training services, homeless services, mental health, substance abuse, and veterans services. In 2016, VOA reports that its affiliate programs have reached more than 1.4 million individuals in over 400 communities.
