Following a site visit for the Enhanced Homestead Food Production (EHFP) program early on in my field year, I wrote this article as a communications piece to present stories and data from the field to a wider audience. The article details the experiences of several women farmers in Pursat province, Cambodia who participated in a multi-year EHFP project. It also presents monitoring data and statistics regarding malnutrition within Cambodia. Even as the project was beginning to phase out, the women were continuing their agricultural activities, harvesting and preparing their gardens for the next planting, demonstrating the potential for the sustainability of the EHFP program.
