Throughout the Leland fellowship, one of my responsibilities was to identify constraints that prevent women from becoming fully integrated into agriculture, dairy, and livestock value chains, and to develop strategies for overcoming these constraints. I presented on this work, and the successful strategies Land O’Lakes has implemented across numerous projects for improved integration of women, at the 2012 Eastern and Southern Africa Dairy Association (ESADA) conference in Nairobi.
