The Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) is Knoxville’s public housing authority and, in addition to affordable housing, seeks to provide resources around education, employment, health, and food. KCDC sought a partnership with the United Way of Greater Knoxville to create equitable food access opportunities for KCDC residents. This report details the existing food assistance landscape and seeks to identify assets and barriers to food security for residents. By centering lived experience as expertise, this report ultimately aims to engage residents as co-creators of change.
