Dani grew up in Cheney, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington in 2015 with a B.A. in community, environment and planning with honors. As the Advocacy and Communications Assistant with the Washington Food Coalition, Dani worked on an advocacy campaign to support state funding for food banks and meal programs. Dani also led trainings about advocating for just and sustainable food systems at the federal level with the Northwest Farm Bill Action Group. At UW, Dani was a passionate student activist and the coordinator of Husky Real Food Challenge, a campus campaign for more ecologically sound, fair, local and humane food.
