Project Bread seeks to provide sustainable solutions that permanently move the needle on ending hunger. This work includes enhancing child nutrition programs, a crucial tool in ensuring no child goes hungry. Massachusetts is in a unique position to lead when it comes to child nutrition programs, and this report explores the history, benefits, and operations of federal child nutrition programs, the ways Massachusetts is increasing access to and improving the quality of child nutrition programs, and federal, state, and provider-level recommendations for ways they can move forward.
