In 2004 The UPS Foundation awarded CHC a funds to convene a National Hunger Forum. CHC commissioned 10 discussion papers on the history of anti-hunger work in the 20th century. Sixty three of the nation’s most prominent anti-hunger leaders were invited to DC for a review of the papers and a discussion on what steps would be needed to end hunger in America. Speakers included former USDA Secretary Dan Glickman, Senator Elizabeth Dole, Representative Jo Ann Emerson, Representative James P. McGovern and Bill Purcell, then Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The discussion papers are available in the Publications Library.
