18th Class Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow John Pevy’s field placement was in Boise, Idaho with the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force. He coordinated Emmett, Idaho’s Hunger Free Community Initiative, which brought together community members, service providers, farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders to build a food secure community through local food systems and economic development. The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force hopes to launch 2-3 Hunger Free Communities in Idaho next year.
