2000

In 2000, the Victory Against Hunger Awards Program granted its seventh round of awards. Winning organizations were recognized with $1,000 checks from their Member of Congress provided through the Congressional Hunger Center under the sponsorship of Victory Wholesale Grocers. This year's Victory awards recognized organizations that provided innovative solutions to transportation needs for food banks and gleaning operations.

By the end of the year 2000, CHC had trained over 500 leaders who have the skills, knowledge and experience to address hunger at the community, national, and international levels.
