Program Vision and Values

The International Hunger Fellows Program shares with future leaders our vision of a world free from hunger and provides these leaders with the tools they need to work toward this goal throughout their lives.

Upon graduation, our fellows will be leaders who:

  • Understand the importance of ending hunger in the lives of over 800 million men, women, and children across the globe
  • Build partnerships with communities to eliminate the root causes of hunger
  • Collaborate with diverse people, cultures, and institutions
  • Live according to values of honesty, non-discrimination, and hope
  • Apply relevant skills, knowledge, and experience to shape anti-hunger policy
  • Motivate and inspire others to join them in ending hunger

Mickey Leland Fellows will develop their personal vision and mission throughout the two-year program in order to take action to achieve measurable anti-hunger goals. CHC will also support program alumni as they continue to implement their personal and professional anti-hunger missions in the years to come.
