PATRICK MCGRANN

PATRICK MCGRANN

Field Placement: Peruvian Center for Social Study (CEPES) in Lima, Peru
Patrick works with the local partners of CEPES to improve access to productive assets for rural development. Specifically, he is examining the negative impacts of the extractive industry in Peru and its affects on local agricultural and water assets.

Policy Placement: Popular Coalition to Eradicate Hunger and Poverty in Rome, Italy
Patrick will assist the Popular Coalition̉s Agrarian Reform Network with its efforts to shape public policy regarding rural development in the Andean Region.

Education/Experience: Patrick was a financial consultant for Allanza Para un Mundo Sostible in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and he is a founding partner of the Caninde Fund, an environmental protection group in Buena Vista, Bolivia. He has studied Tibetan resettlement issues while living in Kathmandu, Nepal and is fluent in Spanish. Patrick holds a Masters degree from the University of Minnesota's Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
