Shireen helped to support the beginning of an anti-hunger movement in Hawai`i. This included organizing two major meetings to disseminate research and create a plan to end hunger in the state, as well as contributing to a written report called “The Hawai`i Community Food Security Needs Assessment.”
Shireen worked with both the Domestic Legislative team and Grassroots team on their major issues for the year: TANF reauthorization, childcare, and asset development. She also worked on the RESULTS international conference.
Shireen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development fromBostonCollege.
